When you hear about an elopement, you might not think of something right here in Toledo. But last Friday, we had the honor of being a part of an extremely sweet, simple and beautiful elopement right up the street.
In April, we met Facundo & Chelsea for their engagement session in Ann Arbor where he was finishing up law school and she worked at University Hospital. In just a couple of hours, we got to know them as if we have been friends for years. We learned of the hard work Facundo has put into law school and we are thrilled to be a part of this exciting time as he starts studying for the bar and preparing for the next step in his career. We also saw the undeniable love and support that they have for each other and their willingness to stand by each other through everything.
Last October, I was supposed to go with my friend Kallie to make fairy gardens at a nearby greenhouse (Hoen's Garden Center = the greatest fairy garden selection ever!). Last minute, I switched things up. Or should I say, Alex switched things up...
I got a phone call that Alex was ready to pop the question!! And he wanted me to help out!! I was beyond excited.
If you’re looking for something simple and intimate, start here. Kristen & Travis chose to gather a handful of their closest friends & family to witness their sweet ceremony at Simply Married in downtown Toledo. This quaint chapel is tucked in the heart of our city open to the brides and grooms who prefer cherishing these special moments in a more intimate way.
And just like that, summer is upon us. I feel like we spend our winters trying to relax, traveling, etc, while also preparing for the year, getting new gear and coordinating timelines. Spring rolls around and we get teasers of warm weather and sunshine, but still rainy and cold days. Sundresses and pool days seem far away. Then BOOM, June is here with its 85 degree days, beautiful blue skies and backyard weddings.
