With 95 degrees and a chance of rain in the forecast, we were a little nervous leading up to this day. Jake & Danielle put a lot of work into making this outdoor ceremony absolutely beautiful and the last thing we wanted was a little rain to ruin it. This seems to be a theme this year. A chance of rain hovers over our heads, but then we find ourselves enjoying a perfectly dry day. Thank goodness this wedding was nothing different!
Jake comes from a family of green thumbs. We learned this when we did their engagement session (so dreamy, you have to check it out) at his family's greenhouse, Whiteford Greenhouse, and walked away with a beautiful bouquet. Jake and Danielle have been excitedly telling us about the beautiful heart-shaped patio and landscaping that Jake and his dad built just for their wedding ceremony at Oak Shade Grove. It was so special to finally see the labor of love they put into making the patio, and the couple now has a reminder of their day anytime they visit the Grove. For being one of the first weddings there, Jake & Danielle surely set the bar high.
Not only was their wedding day gorgeous, but as a couple, Jake & Danielle have an undeniable love and adoration for each other that is truly inspiring. It was evident in every detail they brought together for the day, but especially through their gifts for each other. Her note to him inscribed on a small square of copper and his gift of lilies for her were sweet little things that showed, above all else, their love is most important.
We enjoyed dancing the night away to Distant Cousinz and learned that the Moritz boys know how to bust a move. Dinner and dancing was under the pavilion while guests could sneak away for a refreshing drink, a game of cornhole or a HUGE game of Jenga. Antique furniture from Jake’s mom’s living room was scattered about for guests to relax and socialize, and string lights from Mager Designs added to the romantic atmosphere of this beautiful summer night. To top it off, guests could get their caricature drawn by Grin-n-Barrett (so fun!) or snack on some delicious desserts from So Sweet Pastries and cake from Eston’s Bakery.
A huge thanks to the ladies at Bee for the Day for bringing everything together and making sure the day ran smooth! If it sounds too good to be true, scroll down and see for yourself!
We hope you enjoyed this gallery as much as we do. We wish a huge congratulations to the newest Mr. & Mrs. and hope they are enjoying their honeymoon. This weekend, we will be celebrating with Aliya & Donovan at the Inverness Club. We’ll have a full crew there as we are crafting their story with photo, film and a photobooth and look forward to working with Bee for the Day yet again!
